Hideharu Tatsumi, STI Vehicle Experiment Department

Born April 23, 1951 in Hokkaido. Joined Fuji Heavy Industries (FHI) in 1970.
After assignment to the Engineering Department, Tatsumi was posted for three years to the Sales Division, following which he was responsible for controllability and ride characteristics of a long line of Subaru automobiles, beginning with the first-generation Legacy.
Starting in 2003, he worked on advanced development projects at Advanced Engineering department of SUBARU Engineering Division. In October 2006, he moved to STI's Vehicle Experiment Department. In 2008 and 2009, he participated in the Nurburgring 24-hour endurance race as Team Director, of the STI NBR Challenge team.
